Nov. 3
Milisha Rhome v. Monongalia General Hospital, David Hood and Lisa Marc
PA-Daniel Cooper; Judge N/A
* Milisha Rhome claims she was wrongfully terminated from her employment with Monongalia General Hospital. Rhome was born with a bone condition that would require hip replacement surgery and her surgery was scheduled for December of 2007. She advised David Hood that after the surgery she would be able to continue in her current duties as a Nutrition Services Aide. Shortly after that conversation, Rhome claims Lisa Marcie reported her for failing to pay for food items in the cafeteria. She explained to Hood that she had paid for her meal. He accepted her explanation and indicated there would be no disciplinary action taken. Rhome alleges the theft charge was a pretext and she was terminated due to her physical condition. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, attorney fees and costs.
