Woman sues former employer, two supervisors for unlawful termination

CHARLESTON -- A woman is suing her former employer and two supervisors for unlawful termination.

Denise Miller was employed at GF Management and Hicha Associates for approximately 18 months and was terminated from her job on Oct. 28, 2009, according to a complaint filed Nov. 6 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Miller claims she was willfully, maliciously and unlawfully terminated because of her age and sex.

Mitchell High and Becky Welch were Miller's supervisors at her former employment.

Miller claims she is entitled to damages for indignity, embarrassment and humiliation.

Miller is suing for compensatory and punitive damages. Mark A. Atkinson of Atkinson & Polak is representing her.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Tod J. Kaufman
