* In August 2008 Reed's student loans and liens were released. In October 2008, she sought representation of counsel and on Oct. 8, she sent a letter to the defendant instructing to direct further communication to counsel and requesting a statement of account, which she claims they did not do. Reed claims the company called her numerous times between December 2008 and August 2009 and sent letters, threatening various legal actions even when she directed them to her lawyer. She seeks damages and civil penalties of $4,300 for each violation for illegal debt collection and failure to provide statement of account.

* Mr. Roberts' son died Nov. 23 from injuries he sustained in a collision between a car he was a passenger in and a tractor trailer owned by Teton Transportation and operated by Norris, who was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. Mr. Roberts is petitioning for an order to preserve evidence. He claims if the respondents are given access to several items, including trip packages, driver's qualification package, the truck tractor unit, GPS information and a data recorder similar to an airline "black box," and allowed to destroy or conceal the items, his rights will be severely prejudiced.
