Two couples name 63 defendants in separate asbestos cases

CHARLESTON -- Two Hurricane couples are suing multiple companies in separate asbestos lawsuits.

David L. McClure and Nancy A. McClure, and Billy R. Beckett and Helen J. Beckett named 63 companies involved in their separate suits, according to complaints filed Jan. 20 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Mr. McClure and Mr. Beckett claim they were exposed to asbestos products of the defendants while working at various job sites over many years.

According to both suits, the defendants, acting by and through their servants, agents and employees, caused asbestos and asbestos-contain products to be placed in the stream of intrastate and interstate commerce and continued to do so for a number of years.
