N.Y. woman sues man for running over her arm

MORGANTOWN -- A New York woman is suing a man for running over her arm with his truck.

On Jan. 23, 2008, Krista M. Streisel was preparing to leave a night club when she claims Justin Allen Weis asked her to stay and volunteered to give her a ride home, according to a complaint filed Jan. 7 in Monongalia Circuit Court.

Streisel claims Weis drove her to her residence and stopped his 2006 GMC truck next to the sidewalk on North Spruce Street.

When Streisel exited his truck, she slipped and fell onto the pavement and without verifying if she was in the clear, Weis drove off, running over her arm, according to the suit.

Streisel claims she has sustained pain, suffering and mental anguish; loss of enjoyment of life; doctor, hospital and medical bills; lost wages and loss of earning capacity; and scaring and permanent disfigurement.

Streisel is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is being represented by Alex J. Shook and Kenny Rodriguez of Hamstead, Williams & Shook.

Monongalia Circuit Court case number: 10-C-18
