CHARLESTON -- A woman is suing the West Virginia Regional Jail and Correctional Facility Authority, Western Regional Jail, a correctional officer and the personal representative of the estate of a correctional officer after she claims she was sexually harassed.
Jacqueline Dennis claims Christopher Harless, who died Sept. 3, and C.O. Napier sexually harassed, sexually abused and sexually assaulted her during her incarceration at the Western Regional Jail, according to a complaint filed Jan. 27 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Dennis claims she has suffered anxiety; humiliation; annoyance and inconvenience; invasion of privacy; emotional distress; pain and suffering; mental anguish; loss of her ability to enjoy life; future medical and pharmaceutical expense; and other damages.
Dennis is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is being represented by Matthew J. Woelfel.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Charles E. King.
