CHARLESTON -- A former employee is suing Mannon & Gray Co. after she claims she was wrongfully terminated from her employment.
Connie Davis was employed by the defendant for approximately one year and performed her duties in a satisfactory manner, according to a complaint filed Feb. 12 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Davis claims during her employment she raised concerns about the defendant's failure to pay her properly for overtime work.
On Sept. 30, 2009, Davis' employment was terminated and she claims her wages and benefits were not paid to her within 72 hours, nor were they paid to her by the next regular payday.
As a result, Davis suffered lost wages and benefits, according to the suit.
Davis is seeking compensatory and punitive damages for lost wages and benefits; back pay and front pay; indignity, embarrassment, humiliation, annoyance and inconvenience and loss of use of funds. She is being represented by Mark A. Atkinson and Paul L. Frampton Jr. of Atkinson & Polak.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Tod J. Kaufman.
