* The Wayne woman claims her husband was admitted to St. Mary's Medical Center n May 15, 2008, for a laparoscopic redo hiatal hernia repair and Nissen fundoplication and was released the same day. Mr. Johnson was readmitted Nov. 9, 2008, and died that day. Mrs. Johnson claims Morgan was negligent in his standard of care with Mr. Johnson, who suffered from multisystem organ failure with sepsis following the perforation of his stomach wall during a surgical procedure to repair a recurrent hiatal hernia. Mrs. Johnson is seeking compensatory damages.

Ultimate Health Services, Inc., a West Virginia corporation vs. Alejandro Lorenzana, M.D.

* On April 2, 2007, Lorenzana signed an employment agreement with the plaintiff in which Ultimate Health Services would pay for Lorenzana's moving expenses in the amount of $14,145.18 if Lorenzana would move to West Virginia and work for the plaintiff. The agreement was that UHS would pay the moving expenses and Lorenzana would work for the plaintiff for at least two years, according to the suit, and if Lorenzana within the two years, he was required to reimburse the plaintiff for the moving expenses. In September 2008, the plaintiff claims Lorenzana announced his resignation and has failed to reimburse Ultimate Health Services. They are seeking monetary damages in the amount of $14,145.18.
