* Jackson claims between March and November 2009 she timely paid her rent to Crockett. In November, Jackson left to care for her ill mother in Michigan and advised Crockett she would return to retrieve her belongings, according to the suit. On Dec. 5, Jackson claims she returned home and discovered she had no access to her apartment and her things were gone. She claims when she contacted Crockett he told her the belongings had been stored and she could retrieve them, but has since refused to let her retrieve her things. She is seeking compensatory damages for the entire loss of her personal property.
