WINFIELD--Bella Woods LLC is suing a masonry company for refusal to honor its contract.
In 2008, G&H Masonry was contracted by Bella Woods to perform work installing brick and stone on a home located in the Bella Woods subdivision in Scott Depot, according to a complaint filed April 15 in Putnam Circuit Court.
Bella Woods claims G&H Masonry completed the installation of the brick and stone on June 26, but a short time later the stone began falling off.
Despite numerous attempts at communication and two written notifications of the defective workmanship and requests for G&H Masonry to repair the faulty installation, the company and refused to make any repairs or offer any relief, according to the suit.
Bella Woods claims because of G&H Masonry's failure to honor its contract, the company was forced to pay a third party to perform the repairs.
Bella Woods is seeking a minimum amount of $5,000 to cover the cost of the repairs. The company is being represented by Kelly M. Young.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Phillip Stowers.
