Denise A. Cronin and Christopher J. Cronin v. Paul Davis Systems of Suburban Maryland and Washington, D.C.; Barkay, Inc. dba Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling and C&C Complete Services, LLC
PA - Tracey Rohrbaugh; J - Sanders
* The Cronins seek more than $1 million after they say they experienced significant water damage to their Harpers Ferry home while they were out of state for work. They say the defendant entered the home without their knowledge or consent and began demolition of the home after the water damage occurred. The plaintiffs entered a contract at an estimated cost of $205,321.26 for water migration, mold remediation, home and content stabilization and demolition. During the course of the contract, a joint check was issued to the defendant but wasn't signed pending an inspection. The defendant allegedly canceled the inspection and forged the plaintiff's name. The plaintiffs are requesting judgment for fraud, breach of contract, trespassing and negligence. They also request to be awarded pre-judgment interest and post-judgment interest according to law, reasonable attorney fees and costs and such relief as the Court deems just.
