Man sues Kokosing, others for injuries

WINFIELD -- A man is suing Kokosing Construction Company and two unknown people after he was injured on a job site.

On Oct. 2, 2008, Roger Clendenin Jr., who was employed by Long Run Transportation, was transporting materials to a job site where Kokosing was the general contractor, according to a complaint filed May 4 in Putnam Circuit Court.

Clendenin claims he was instructed by the defendants to park his tractor trailer on an area that was not completely flat and to raise the bed of the truck to assist in unloading materials, but when he did so the vehicle overturned, causing him severe and permanent physical injuries.

Kokosing negligently, recklessly and carelessly failed to provide adequate training for the work being performed by its agents and employees and failed to perform an adequate job safety analysis concerning the unloading of tractor trailers at the job site, according to the suit.

Clendenin is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Brent K. Kesner, Kevis C. Harris and Eric J. Holmes.
