Yellowbook sues Huntington attorney for failure to pay for advertising

HUNTINGTON -- Yellowbook is suing Huntington Attorney Kenneth P. Hicks for failure to pay for advertising.

On July 20, 2006, Hicks entered into an advertising agreement with Yellowbook to be listened in its publication, according to a complaint filed June 4 in Cabell Circuit Court.

Hicks was listed from Oct. 1, 2006, until Sept. 1, 2007, for a monthly price of $1,052, according to the suit.

Yellowbook claims it has demanded payment of the balance due of $12,666, but that Hicks has failed and refused to pay for the advertising.

The company claims it has made numerous demands for the payment since the advertisement ran.

Yellowbook is seeking damages in the amount of $12,666 with interest at a rate of 8.5 percent per annum from Oct. 1, 2007. It is being represented by John R. Keating.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David M. Pancake.
