Couple sues Kia for defective vehicle

CHARLESTON -- A couple is suing Kia Motors America for a defective vehicle.

On Nov. 18, 2004, Robert Beaver and Bonnie Beaver purchased a 2005 Kia Sorento from Patrick Plaza Dodge Kia in Charleston for $24,190, according to a complaint filed May 28 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

The Beavers claim after the purchase of the vehicle, they experienced repeated nonconformities with the vehicle.

The defendant failed to conform the vehicle to the warranties after a reasonable number of attempts, according to the suit.

The Beavers are seeking revocation of the acceptance and refund of the purchase price, damages for repair costs and damages for loss of use. They are being represented by Michael L. Glasser.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis Bloom.
