CHARLESTON -- A former employee is suing Wexford Health Sources and an individual for wrongful termination of employment.
Angela Bailey was a medical assistant with Wexford and claims she was discharged for her employment under false pretenses in August 2009, according to a complaint filed May 27 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Bailey claims she had made complaints about not having the appropriate supplies and was subsequently discharged from her employment.
Tristan Tenney had made comments prior to Bailey's discharge regarding her age and ability to perform her work, according to the suit.
Bailey is seeking reinstatement to her position and compensatory and punitive damages. She is being represented by Paul M. Stroebel.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
