Man sues Subtrax for Wage Payment & Collection Act violations

CHARLESTON -- A former employee is suing Subtrax after he claims it violated the West Virginia Wage Payment & Collection Act.

John Chapman worked for Subtrax until his discharge on June 8, according to a complaint filed July 7 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Chapman claims he did not receive his final wages until June 14.
The defendant failed to pay Chapman within 72 hours of his discharge, which is in violation of the West Virgina Wage Payment & Collection Act.

Chapman is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Todd S. Bailess.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis Bloom.
