MORGANTOWN -- A Fairmont woman is suing Destination Maternity Corporation and two individuals after she claims her employment was wrongfully terminated.
Alison S. Hall began working for Destination Maternity as a part-time sales associate in September 2004 and was promoted in April 2005 to a full-time store manager, according to a complaint filed in Monongalia Circuit Court.
Hall claims her employment was terminated by Felicia Posey and Denise M. Bitler because she was pregnant and delivered her premature twins at 33 weeks. She claims she had a problem pregnancy and was ordered to "modified bed rest" in early September 2009 and had her twins on Sept. 29.
The defendants fired Hall on Oct. 29, "with absolutely no advance or warning," according to the suit, and simply over-nighted a termination letter to Hall.
Hall is seeking compensatory damages and an order of reinstatement to employment. She is being represented by Drew M. Capuder.
