Wheeling woman sues Umstott for failure to pay wages

WHEELING -- A Wheeling woman is suing Umstott after she claims it failed to pay her and other former employees their wages and benefits in full after their employment ended.

Jessica Crow was employed by Umstott, which is doing business as 7-Eleven Stores, from 2005 until July 13, according to a complaint filed Aug. 6 in Ohio Circuit Court.

Crow claims the defendant violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act, which entitles her and all class members to damages, including unpaid wages, benefits, liquidated damages, and attorney fees and costs.

Crow is seeking to damages for her unpaid wages and benefits. She is being represented by Frank X. Duff and Sandra R. Law.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Martin J. Gaughan.
