* Briggs seeks judgment against Chestnut Ridge claiming she was discharged from her duties as a WVUH Dietetic Assistant. Prior to her being hired, Briggs claimed she advised her employer of a previous back injury. The doctor's evaluation found a large muscle tear in her shoulder but she was still able to perform all work duties. During a meeting with her supervisor, Briggs stated her shoulder hurt and after being questioned by Taylor of the problem, Briggs was told due to her disability she would be unable to keep her job. Claiming discrimination, she is seeking lost wages, damages, reinstatement to her position, enjoining defendants from any such policies of discrimination, general damages and punitive damages in excess of $1 million.
