* The Hamlin woman's personal injury suit wants jury award of $100,000 in compensatory damages, together with pre- and post-judgment interest and all her litigation costs. Rakes says a Mack truck tractor owned by Allied Waste Services and operated by Huff in a careless and reckless manner failed to yield the right-of-way in causing a collision with her Jeep vehicle. The accident last February happened near the intersection of May Street with WV Route 3 in Hamlin.

* The Harts couple's complaint details six counts saying that the Charleston bank engaged in repeated violations of the West Virginia Consumers Credit & Protection Act as a debt collector. Demanding jury trial, Adamses seek injunctive relief prohibiting Fifth Third from further contact, plus numerous awards including statutory damages of not less than $430, nor more than $4,300 per violation, voiding of the finance loan; damages for emotional, annoyance, inconvenience, harassment and oppression distresses, and invasion of privacy and punitive damages and court expenses.
