* On Sept. 17, 2008, Mr. Workman presented to the emergency room department of Logan General Hospital in Logan County and was diagnosed with a parietal contusions, subdural hematoma and poly-substance abuse. A urine drug screen was performed and Mr. Workman tested positive for cannabinoids, benzodiazepines, opiates and methadone, according to the suit. Mrs. Workman claims Mr. Workman was transferred to Cabell Huntington Hospital later that same evening for neurosurgeon services. Mr. Workman died Sept. 19, 2008. Mrs. Workman is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
