HUNTINGTON -- A Cabell County man is suing American Honda Motor Company after he claims a vehicle he purchased was defective and did not conform to its warranty.
On Feb. 22, Jason Layne purchased a 2010 Honda CR-V from the defendant, according to a complaint filed Aug. 20 in Cabell Circuit Court.
Layne claims the vehicle has approximately 8,361 miles on it, has been aligned by the defendant at least three times, and has had 24 tires put on it since the purchase. Despite this, Layne claims the vehicle still vibrates and pulls in a dangerous manner and continually wears out tires in a rapid manner.
The defendant failed to make the vehicle conform to its warranties, according to the suit.
Layne is seeking revocation of acceptance and refund of the purchase price; repair cost damages; and damages for annoyance and inconvenience. He is being represented by W. Michael Frazier.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David M. Pancake.
