CHARLESTON -- A Dunbar woman is suing Thomas Memorial Hospital Foundation after she claims she was injured at the hospital.
On Jan. 19, Betty Barrett was visiting her husband at the hospital and was walking to the parking garage when she suddenly tripped and fell on a raised area of unmarked concrete and sustained injuries, according to a complaint filed Oct. 20 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Barrett claims her injuries included a broken left hip, cuts and abrasions.
The defendant failed to warn Barrett of the raised area of unmarked concrete, according to the suit.
Barrett is seeking compensatory damages. She is being represented by Sean W. Cook.
