Woman sues St. Mary's for injuries

HUNTINGTON -- A woman is suing St. Mary's Medical Center after she claims she was injured from a fall.

On Jan. 3, 2009, Connie Bailey was released from the hospital and was being assisted into her vehicle by a hospital employee who negligently caused or allowed her to fall to the pavement, according to a complaint filed Oct. 25 in Cabell Circuit Court.

Bailey claims the defendant was negligent in allowing her to fall.

As a result of the negligence, Bailey sustained a fractured tibia and was otherwise greatly injured and damaged, according to the suit.

Bailey is seeking compensatory damages. She is being represented by Larry O. Ford.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead.
