CHARLESTON -- A former employee is suing KVC Behavioral Healthcare after he claims it failed to pay his final wages in a timely manner.
E. Lawrece Guthrie was employed by the defendant until Sept. 26, according to a complaint filed Nov. 15 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Guthrie claims he did not receive his final wages until Oct. 5, which is violation of the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act.
Guthrie is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Todd Bailess.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Tod J. Kaufman.
