* The Mason County woman claims Kerwood was admitted to SMMC on Dec. 2, 2008, for treatment of acute pancreatitis, renal insufficiency, cholelithiasis and leukocytosis. She claims he suffered a skin break down and pressure ulcers during his admission and the hospital failed to provide adequate care plans for the issues. On Dec. 17, 2008, Kerwood was transferred to Cornerstone to receive additional healthcare services, but the pressure ulcers worsened and became infected, according to the suit. Jones claims the defendants negligence led to her father's death on April 27, 2009. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

* Riley was employed by the defendants for 14 years until her employment was terminated on Nov. 28, 2008. Riley claims Eddy called her into her office and told her she was fired because her boyfriend had came in with an illegal substance and was trying to see it to employees and customers. She is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.
