Thomas Memorial sues physician for breach of contract

CHARLESTON -- Thomas Memorial Hospital is suing one of its physicians after it claims he has breached his contract.

Dr. Carl Barosso entered into a contract with the hospital on Aug. 3, 2007, and was advanced and loaned $518,929, according to a complaint filed Dec. 17 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Thomas Memorial Hospital claims Barosso breached the contract and continues to breach the contract.

Thomas Memorial is seeking judgment in the amount of $378,386, plus accrued interest in the amount of $40,433. The hospital is being represented by Ellen S. Cappellanti and Amber L. Hoback.

The cases have been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul Zakaib Jr.
