CHARLESTON -- A Putnam County couple is suing Thomas Memorial Hospital Association for injuries sustained in the hospital.
On Feb. 3, 2009, Adonna Null was recovering from surgery at the hospital and was in the presence of the employees of the hospital when she fell to the floor and suffered injury, according to a complaint filed Feb. 1 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Null claims the defendant failed to supervise, care for and properly assist her, causing her to fall to the floor.
As a result of the defendant's negligence, Null incurred damages including medical expenses; pain and suffering; inconvenience; and the loss of ability to enjoy life, according to the suit.
Null and her husband, Bertis Null are seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. They are being represented by R. Michael Martin.
