Woman sues CAMC, others for nursing home negligence

CHARLESTON -- A woman is suing Charleston Area Medical Center after she claims her mother was mistreated while she was in a nursing home.

Barbara Holmes, Meadows' daughter, claims her mother was admitted to Charleston Area Medical Center from Feb. 25, 2009, until March 7, 2009, and from March 24, 2009, until March 30, 2009.

Holmes claims her mother was admitted to CAMC on Feb. 25, 2009, because she had suffered a laceration to the back of her head, progressive confusion, generalized weakness with the inability to walk, facial drooping of the left side and worsening weakness on the left side.

Holmes claims the defendants are responsible for her mother's death.
