CHARLESTON -- A former employee is suing HCR Manorcare after she claims it failed to pay her final wages within 72 hours of her discharge.
Sandra Stanley was employed by the defendant until her discharge on April 28, 2010, according to a complaint filed Feb. 3 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Stanley claims the defendant failed to pay her final wages with 72 hours of her discharge, which is in violation of the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act.
The defendant did not pay Stanley her final wages until May 10, 2010, according to the suit.
Stanley is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by Todd S. Bailess.
