MORGANTOWN – A security corporation is suing three former employees and their new business after it claims they stole information and solicited its customers.
Eric Scott Wyant, William Vavrek and Chad McMillen are all former employees of Secure US, Inc.
As a result of their duties and former employment, Wyant, Vavrek and McMillen had access to certain confidential business documents, records and materials, including customer information and pricing data of Secure US, Inc., according to a complaint filed March 18 in Monongalia Circuit Court.
The defendants have contacted customers of Secure US to advice them that they have begun operating a security business, which is similar in scope to Secure US, so as to solicit those customers to utilize the services of Morgantown Security and Fire, according to the suit.
Secure US claims the information utilized by the defendants to identify and contact its customers is proprietary and confidential information.
The defendants misappropriated Secure US's trade secrets by acquiring proprietary confidential business information and documents by improper means, according to the suit.
Secure US is seeking judgment against the defendants in the amount of $2 million for actual, consequential and punitive damages. It is being represented by Brandon Kupec.
