CHARLESTON -- A man is suing Information Providers, Inc., after he claims the company violated minimum wage standards.
George McIntire has been employed by the defendant since July 24, 2007, according to a complaint filed March 10 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
McIntire claims the defendant has failed to pay him the statutory minimum wage, overtime wages and full reimbursement of actual expenses incurred, despite his previously made requests.
The defendant has intentionally, willfully and wantonly disregarded its obligations and duties under West Virginia law, according to the suit.
McIntire is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Michael A. Olivio and Travis A. Griffith.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James C. Stucky.
