* Helen Champlain, who is handicapped, parked in a designated handicapped space at the McDonald's in Westover. As she entered the restaurant, she tripped on an 8-inch curb that is near the handicapped entrance. As a result, she fell and was injured. She seeks judgment in the amount of $75,000 for doctor, hospital and medical bills, pain and suffering, permanent injury, attorney fees and costs.

Larry and Rebecca Shrout vs. Aker Construction

* While working as a crew foreman, Larry Shrout's friend got into an altercation with another foreman on their job. Shourt attempted to assist his friend and also became involved in that altercation. The friend was fired and Shrout was moved into his position on the crew. Shrout claims he was moved into that position as punishment and was not properly trained for that job, and was injured. After he was cleared by Worker's Compensation to return to work, Shrout was advised the company considered his work absence a voluntary termination and that he no longer had a job. Shrout claims he was fired while on leave for worker's compensation. He is seeking damages, lost wages, legal fees and expenses, past, present and future medical damages.
