* On May 12, 2009, Murphy entered into the back seat of a vehicle driven by Gue, who was employed by Prestera and was to transport Murphy for his appointment with a member of Prestera's staff. Murphy claims Gue began to pull out of the parking space without ensuring the vehicle was in the correct gear and consequently went into reserve, slamming into the vehicle directly behind his vehicle. Gue demonstrated complete disregard for others and did not ask Murphy if he was injured, according to the suit. Murphy claims Gue also left the scene of the accident without reporting it. He is seeking compensatory damages.

Jerry Riley vs. Ultimate Health Services, Inc. d/b/a Huntington Internal Medicine Group and Dr. William R. Beam

* Riley became a patient of the defendants in 2008 when she was diagnosed with COPD and Beam determined in 2009 that she was completely disabled from her job at BB&T Bank. Riley claims she filed for short-term disability and then informed the defendants that she needed them to send a copy of her medical records to the Hartford to begin receiving her short-term disability benefits. The defendants failed and/or refused to send her medical records to the Hartford and her short-term disability claim was denied. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.
