HUNTINGTON -- A Leesville, S.C. man is suing Steel Products and Manufacturing Co. after he was injured on the job.

On May 1, 2009, Keith Jarrell, who was a Kenova resident at the time, was delivering a load of steel to the defendant and was standing on the bed of the truck when one of the defendant's employees dropped a load of steel on him, according to a complaint filed April 21 in Cabell Circuit Court.

As a result of the defendant's negligence, Jarrell suffered severe injuries to his back and crushing injuries to his left leg and foot, according to the suit.

Jarrell is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Brian L. Ooten and Anthony J. Cicconi.
