* Fareed claims that he was told if his wife agreed to join WVU Hospitals at a salary of $250,000, he would be given a three-year categorical position in the Department of Medicine. Fareed's wife, who drew a baseline salary of $400,000 at the University of Northern Texas, agreed to accept the position at WVUH. Fareed was not given the position and was told the money that would pay his residency was instead given to the Department of Internal Medicine. Fareed is seeking $6,000,000 in compensation, and asking that WVU School of Medicine place him in a residency program of his choosing.
