Ohio couple sues Foot Locker for injuries

HUNTINGTON -- A Chesapeake, Ohio, woman and her husband are suing Foot Locker Stores after she was injured in its Barboursville store.

On Jan. 11, Anna Slone was shopping at the defendant's Lady Foot Locker store when she tripped over a cardboard tube that had been left in the floor by an employee and was injured, according to a complaint filed April 28 in Cabell Circuit Court.

Slone claims the defendant failed to keep the aisle free of hazards and obstructions.

The defendant also failed to warn Slone of the condition and failed to properly and adequately supervise and oversee the areas of the store, according to the suit.

Slone and her husband, Frank Slone, are seeking compensatory damages with interest. They are being represented by R.R. Fredeking II.

The case has been assinged to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead.
