Charleston woman sues Management and Training Corporation for discrimination

CHARLESTON -- A Charleston woman is suing Management and Training Corporation after she claims her employment was terminated based on her age and race.

Beverly Williams, the director of Charleston Job Corps Center, which is under Management and Training Corporation, was also named as a defendant in the suit.

Tamara Eubanks, who is above the age of 40 and is African American, was employed by the defendants, according to a complaint filed May 2 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Eubanks claims her employment was terminated based on her age and race, which is in violation of the West Virginia Human Rights Act.
The defendants also created a hostile work environment, which made it impossible for Eubanks to perform her job duties, according to the suit.

Eubanks is seeking compensatory damages. She is being represented by Shannon M. Bland.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Jennifer Bailey.
