HUNTINGTON -- A Huntington woman is suing the man who she claims struck her with his vehicle while she was a pedestrian.
On May 30, 2009, Eva Stillpass was a pedestrian when she was struck by a 2001 Toyota Celica being driven by James Glasscock, according to a complaint filed May 27 in Cabell Circuit Court.
Stillpass claims Glasscock was negligently driving the vehicle when he struck her.
Glasscock's negligence caused Stillpass to sustain severe and permanent injuries, including a fractured left ankle, pulmonary contusion and right arm lacerations and abrasions, according to the suit.
Stillpass claims when Glasscock struck her, she was hit with such force that she was thrown onto the hood of the vehicle and into the windshield, which shattered from the violent impact of the collision.
Stillpass is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by J. Roger Smith II.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead.
