WAYNE -- Willis Tire Company is suing Kenova Tire & Battery after it claims it failed to pay more than $50,000 for goods and services.
Thomas Adkins and Emaline Adkins, who are doing business as Kenova Tire & Battery, were also named as defendants in the suit.
The defendants purchased goods and services from Willis Tire Company in 2010 and promised and agreed to pay for the goods and services, according to a complaint filed May 5 in Wayne Circuit Court.
Willis Tire Company claims certain checks issued by the defendants in payment for the goods were returned for non-sufficient funds.
The defendants have since failed to pay for the goods and services, according to the suit.
The plaintiff is seeking judgment in the amount of $54,957.11, with pre- and post-judgment interest. It is being represented by Julie A. Warren.
