Man sues Huntington for wrongful termination

HUNTINGTON -- A Huntington man is suing the City of Huntington after he claims his employment was wrongfully terminated.

Victor L. Crutcher was employed by the City of Huntington for 20 years and was discharged in violation of the Whistle-Blower law, according to a complaint filed Aug. 1 in Cabell Circuit Court.

Crutcher claims the defendant discharged, threatened or otherwise discriminated or retaliated against him.

The defendant's negligence caused Crutcher to suffer various personal injuries deriving from being discharged from his 20-year employment with the defendant, including emotional distress and inconvenience, according to the suit.

Crutcher is seeking reinstatement and compensatory damages. He is representing himself

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David M. Pancake.
