CHARLESTON -- A couple is suing Freedom Oil & Gas after their vehicles were damaged.
On Aug. 5, a GMC truck owned by Freedom Oil & Gas ran through a fence at Halstead Construction and struck a 1997 Chevrolet Astro Van owned by Timothy Ashley, which in turn struck a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix owned by Linda Ashley, according to a complaint filed Oct. 21 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
The Ashleys claim both vehicles were totalled.
After repeated attempts of trying to get the defendant to pay for the vehicle damages, the Ashleys were told the defendant would only give them $500 and "not a penny more," according to the suit.
The Ashleys are seeking damages in the amount of $4,000 and lost wages. They are representing themselves.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James C. Stucky.
