CHARLESTON -- A former employee is suing TruGreen Limited Partnership for failure to pay wages within 72 hours of discharge.
Greg Anderson was employed by the defendant from March until Aug. 12, according to a complaint filed Oct. 31 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Anderson claims he did not receive his final wages until Aug. 16.
The defendant's actions violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act, according to the suit.
Anderson is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Todd S. Bailess and Joy B. Mega.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
