Yellowbook sues Nationwide Moving for failure to pay

WINFIELD -- Yellowbook Sales & Distribution Co., Inc., is suing Nationwide Moving & Storage for failure to pay for advertising.

Arthur Taylor, an employee if Nationwide Moving & Storage, was also named as a defendant in the suit.

On Dec. 6, 2007, the defendants entered into an advertising agreement with Yellowbook in order to be listed in its publication for the next publishing cycle, according to a complaint filed Oct. 21 in Putnam Circuit Court.

Yellowbook claims from July 2008 through June 2010, it ran the defendants' requested and approved advertisement in its publication.

The prices charged for the advertising services was $623 per month for the Greater Charleston area from July 2008 until June 2009 and $669 per month from July 2009 until June 2010, according to the suit. The price for the Greater Tri-State area directory from October 2008 until September 2009 was $436 per month.

Yellowbook claims it demanded payment of the balance due of $15,744.93, but the defendants failed and/or refused to pay.

Yellowbook is seeking judgment in the amount of $15,744.93 with interest. It is being represented by John R. Keating.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Phillip Stowers.
