Woman sues KRT for injuries

CHARLESTON -- A Dunbar woman is suing Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority for injuries she sustained during a collision.

Bridgette A. Wriston and Ronald King were also named as defendant in the suit.

On July 26, Donna London was a guest passenger in a KRT bus when Wriston, who was driving a vehicle owned by King, caused a collision with the bus and caused her injuries, according to a complaint filed Nov. 3 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

London claims because of the injuries, her infant child, Chalese London suffered a loss of parental consortium.

The defendants failed to maintain control of the bus and vehicle and caused the collision, according to the suit.

Donna London claims the defendants caused her serious and permanent injuries and loss of enjoyment of life.

Donna London is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by Gloria M. Stephen.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
