* Prior to 2005 the Spencers hired the defendants for legal representation and professional services. On Nov. 7, 2007, the court dismissed the plaintiffs' complaint because it was filed more than two years after the claims arose and was thus barred by the statute of limitations, according to the suit. The Spencers claim the defendants negligently, carelessly and in deviation from applicable standards breached their contractual obligations to provide competent legal representation. The Spencers are seeking judgment of and from the defendants in an amount greatly in excess of the court's minimal jurisdictional limits.
