* On July 13, in reliance on the defendant's representations, the Copleys entered into a contract with the defendant where the defendant agreed to make alterations to and construct an addition on the Copley residence. The Copleys claim they agreed to pay $142,537.63 for services. During the construction process, various additions to and modifications of the contract were agreed upon by the parties and were reflected in a written modification executed on Aug. 3 resulted in a total contractual amount of $130,750, according to the suit. The Copleys claim the defendant failed to perform the contractual work in a workmanlike manner. They are seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.

* On July 15, 2010, Price was a customer of the Shell gas station. She claims when she stepped out of her vehicle at the gas pump, she unknowingly stepped onto an exposed anchor bolt that was negligently left during a reimaging project at the gas station. Price is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.
