HUNTINGTON – A former employee is suing D.L.C. Pizza after she claims it failed to pay her final wages within 72 hours of terminating her employment.
Colleen Rowe was employed by the defendant from June 1, 2008, until May 11, according to a suit filed Dec. 8 in Cabell Circuit Court.
Rowe claims the defendant failed to pay her final wages within 72 hours of discharge.
The defendant's actions violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act, according to the suit.
Rowe claims the defendant's actions also entitle her to liquidated damages.
Rowe is seeking judgment against the defendants for an amount equal to loss of all wages with interest and liquidated damages. She is being represented by J. Michael Ranson, Cynthia M. Ranson and George B. Morrone III.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David M. Pancake.
