HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing the man who struck her with his vehicle when she was riding her bicycle.
On Dec. 11, 2009, Jenka Lockwood was riding her bicycle in Huntington and was near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Hal Greer Boulevard, according to a complaint filed Dec. 9 in Cabell Circuit Court.
Lockwood claims at the intersection, Jack A. Hatfield negligently operated his 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in such a manner to cause a collision with her.
As a result of the defendant's negligence, Lockwood suffered physical injuries and pain and suffering, according to the suit.
Lockwood is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by Glen Conway.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David M. Pancake.
