State Farm sues individuals for nearly $30,000 in damages

WINFIELD -- State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. is suing two individuals it claims owes nearly $30,000 in damages after they injured a pedestrian.

On April 23, 2010, Trina Green was driving a vehicle owned by Dale Hughes in the parking lot of GoMart in Poca when she struck a pedestrian, Lewis R Withrow, according to a complaint filed Dec. 19 in Putnam Circuit Court.

State Farm claims it paid damages to Withrow as a result of the incident in the amount of $29,036.78.

The defendants owe the amount to State Farm for damages to Withrow, according to the suit.

The insurance company is seeking damages in the amount of $29,036.78 with pre- and post-judgment interest. It is being represented by R. Stephen Jarrell.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Phillip Stowers.
